FAQ
FAQ
What is included in monthly bookkeeping?

Our monthly bookkeeping services are tailored to your business and may include transaction categorization, bank and credit card reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable support, and monthly financial reporting. We’ll work with you to determine the level of support your business needs.

How often will my accounts be reconciled?

Most ongoing bookkeeping clients have their accounts reconciled monthly. Depending on your business activity and service package, more frequent reconciliation may be recommended.

Can you clean up books that are behind?

Yes. We offer catch-up and cleanup bookkeeping for businesses with overdue, incomplete, or inaccurate records. We can review prior transactions, reconcile accounts, identify discrepancies, and help bring your books up to date before transitioning to ongoing bookkeeping support.

Do you work with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop?

Yes. We work with both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop and can help with ongoing bookkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, cleanup, and accounting workflows.

Can you help with payroll and Washington payroll reporting?

Yes. We provide payroll and payroll accounting support, including payroll processing, reconciliations, employee payroll changes, and applicable Washington payroll reporting and compliance support. Services may include support related to Washington L&I, ESD, Paid Family & Medical Leave, and WA Cares, depending on your business needs.

What financial reports will I receive?

Depending on your service package, reporting may include a Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, cash flow reporting, and customized management reports. Our goal is not only to provide reports, but to help you better understand what the numbers are telling you about your business.

Do you provide services in Spanish?
Yes. KKeeping Up Business provides bilingual service in English and Spanish, so you can communicate with us in the language you feel most comfortable using.
How does onboarding work?
We start with an initial consultation to learn about your business, current accounting setup, and the support you need. From there, we review the scope of work, identify any cleanup or setup needs, and establish an accounting process designed for your business. Once onboarding is complete, we’ll establish a clear workflow for documents, communication, deadlines, and ongoing services.
How is pricing determined?
Pricing is based on the scope and complexity of your accounting needs. Factors may include transaction volume, number of accounts, payroll requirements, current condition of the books, reporting needs, and the level of ongoing support required. After an initial consultation, we can recommend the service structure that best fits your business.
Do you offer one-time bookkeeping cleanup?
Yes. Cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping can be provided as a one-time service. After the cleanup is complete, you can choose whether ongoing monthly bookkeeping support makes sense for your business.
What types of businesses do you work with?
We work with small and growing businesses across a variety of industries, including construction, restaurants and food-service businesses, professional services, and other owner-managed businesses.
